Description

 Intermediate Mechanical Services Design Engineer - Manchester. 

 
My client a well-established building services consultancy has, due to planned expansion, an immediate requirement for an ambitious junior/intermediate level design engineer to join their team. 
 
The successful candidate will be capable in the design and contract supervision of projects with every day services such as heating, ventilation, VRV air conditioning and domestic hot and cold water systems. This will include the production of drawings and specifications, tendering, attending site meetings and dealing with clients as well as site operatives. Project work includes commercial, hospital, sports/leisure, industrial and data centre projects
 
You should have a relevant qualification in Mechanical Building Services Engineering and have undergone a period of training with a UK based building services consultant or contractor and at least three years post-training experience after that. Ideally you will be able to work on small/medium sized projects with the minimum of supervision.
 
You should have a working knowledge of Part L2 building regulations, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be familiar with Hevacomp, Cymap IES or similar.
